Dogs run hot. Thick coats, the heating on, a conservatory that turns into a greenhouse by lunchtime — and your dog ends up sprawled on the kitchen tiles because it's the only cool surface in the house. The Cooling Mat gives them somewhere better.
A pressure-activated gel core draws heat away as soon as they lie down. No plugging in, no filling with water, no freezing it first: put it on the floor and it works. The gel resets on its own after fifteen or twenty minutes with nothing on it, so it's ready again by the time your dog comes back for another nap. The outer layer resists chewing and scratching, the edges are sealed, and it rolls flat for the boot of the car, a crate, under a desk or a caravan.
It comes in two sizes. Small measures 60 × 45 cm and suits dogs up to roughly 15 kg — a Frenchie, Cocker, Westie or Dachshund. Large measures 90 × 65 cm and suits dogs up to roughly 35 kg — a Labrador, Golden, Staffy or Collie. If your dog sprawls out rather than curling up, take the larger one.
Two things worth knowing before it arrives. Lay it on a hard, flat surface rather than stacking it on top of an existing bed — the cooling works by moving heat into the floor, and a duvet underneath it cancels most of that. And don't store it folded along a sharp crease, or the gel settles unevenly.

One size unless stated on the product above. If the item comes in more than one size, check the measurements in the description and go for the larger option when your dog falls between two — everything adjusts down more easily than it stretches up.
Clean by hand: warm water and a mild soap, then air dry. Nothing in the range goes in the washing machine, the tumble dryer or near bleach, and none of it should be ironed or left on a radiator to dry.
Check the condition every few weeks, especially with dogs that chew. Stop using anything that's split, frayed or punctured.
